Elk are among the animals that graze in and migrate through the Green River Valley. With our partners, in 2008 we launched a program to protect the most important habitat in the valley. Already, this initiative has permanently protected 5,000 acres of private land, including eight miles of Green River tributary frontage, and enhanced more than 85,000 acres of public land.
