Cottonwood Ranches controls a contiguous block of 90,000 acres from the Wyoming Range in the west to the Green River along Cottonwood Creek. We worked with the owners, the Botur family, to place a conservation easement on their property, thereby preserving a family legacy of cattle ranching. The first two phases of this project were completed in 2008 and 2009, protecting more than 2,800 acres of deeded land and enhancing approximately 30,000 acres of adjacent public land. A third phase will protect an additional 1,800 acres, including more than eight miles of Cottonwood Creek frontage.
